Short Report about the 2008 year Exhibition

The International specialized exhibition “Energetika & Elektrotechnika” is the largest event of such kind in the North-Western region of Russia.

The exhibition is organized under official support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation,  the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, St. Petersburg Government, the Government of the Leningrad region, St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly, the Legislative Assembly of the Leningrad region, the Association for economic cooperation between the subjects of the North-Western region of Russia, the Regional office of the Federal agency for Power engineering of the North-Western federal district, the Union of power engineering experts of the North-Western region of Russia, Gas club, the Association of Engineers for Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning, Heat Supply & Building Thermal Physics of north-Western region (AVOK «Severo-Zapad»).

Over 400 companies from 14 countries, namely: Armenia, Belorussia, Germany, Denmark,  Italy,  China, Poland,  Russia, Turkey,  Ukraine,  Finland,  France, Czechia, Switzerland – participated in the exhibition of 2008.

Among them were producers and trade companies not only from St. Petersburg and Moscow, but also from Vologda, Yekaterinburg, Izhevsk, Novosibirsk, Perm, Penza, the Pskov region, Samara, Cheboksary and other cities of Russia. They were – developers, producers, dealers, mounting companies, providing plant handover “ready to operate”, including diagnostics and maintain.

The exhibition presented: heat engineering and electrotechnical equipment, power line equipment, fittings, power electronics, electronic component, cables, measuring equipment, meters, lighting products, etc.  

The exhibition was participated by the first-rate companies, namely: ABB Automation (Moscow), ABB Industry and  Stroytechnika (Moscow), Siemens (Moscow – St. Petersburg), NIIEFA-Energo (St. Petersburg), Alliance-Electro (St. Petersburg), Areva Transmission and Distribution (Yekaterinburg),  High-voltage Union (Yekaterinburg), etc.  

The exhibition war supplemented by the rich business-program, especially by the conference “Fuel-and-energy complex of Russia in the 21st century. Innovations and industrial safety of regional power engineering”, which became the logical sequel of the Moscow All-Russia Energy Forum “Fuel-and-energy complex of Russia in the 21st century”. Organizers of the conference: Organizing Committee of the All-Russia Energy Forum “Fuel-and-energy complex of Russia in the 21st century”, Interregional office of Rostekhnadzor in North-western federal district, non-commercial organization «Prombezopasnost Severo-Zapad », Scientific and Technical Association of Power and Electrical Engineers of Russia, JSC “Lenexpo”.

The number of the participant exceeded 10 000 people.
